300 uConnect

Hi
Im sorry if this has been posted before but I hope you can help.
Wife and I acquired a 2013 Chrysler 300S that is loaded to the gills and had only 12000 miles on it.
Love the car so far but seem to be running into a problem getting the uConnect system to pair with
both my Samsung Galaxy S5 and my wifes S4.
Following the instructions I really get no where.
If I press the Phone button on the steering wheel, nothing. If I press the phone button on the screen, nothing.
If I press the button next to the phone that allows for voice commends it seems to work. At least it
asked me or should I say directed me to try again :)
If I go into the Settings, Phone/Bluetooth it will not go beyond the Phone/Bluetooth display.
I cannot seem to get to where the vehicle asks me to add a phone or even a pairing screen.
When I search for a pairable device on my phone it does not find anything.
I am doing this while the car is running.
From what I have read in the manual it states if I have the Phone icon on the steering
wheel we have uConnect? The display leads me to believe it is installed.
Help?
