Hey guys I just recently purchased a 2005 magnum r/t with 64k miles. It's in pretty good condition but yesterday I noticed a strange problem and I was hoping someone could chime in.
After a little while of driving I stopped at a stop light and when it turned green I hit the gas, but noticed that it took a lot of power to get the car moving. Felt like the transmission was slipping. Even in reverse it would take a great deal of rpm to get the thing moving. Also, the +/- shift lever stopped working.... Weird part is, if i turn the car off and turn it back on, the problem goes away and it drives normally again, shifting through each gear fine for a little while (for about 5 minutes). Key dance shows no codes so far and everything else on the car works beautifully.
Last night I unplugged the battery to restart the computer but it didn't help. Any help would be awesome :) Thanks!
EDIT: So it seems that it's getting stuck in 3rd and won't shift down from it unless I turn the car off and back on again... maybe it's a limp mode? Idk
