Hi all...
Brand new to this forum and to the challenger world. I'm a long time owner of mustangs and Camaros. I live in Upstate NY and i'm 39 years old with 2 great kids and a beautiful wife.
I recently just traded in my 2013 ZL1 Convertible with 590 Rwhp and 6600 miles for my ordered brand new 2016 Scat pack. I ordered it on November 16th and received it exactly 4 weeks and 2 days later. Waiting was absolutely brutal. I ordered a bright white 2016 with black forged wheel upgrade, scat pack appearance group, leather interior group, Alpine sound upgrade, Navigation, Sun roof and 6 speed manual transmission.
I test drove one of these cars at a local dealership prior to my order and just feel in love. The sound of this car is by far the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a stock car. The 6.4 392 while less powerful then my traded in ZL1 felt every bit as powerful, maybe it's the natural aspiration or maybe it's the instant power band of this torquey monster. Either way I was sold. Ride quality was better then my magnetic ride ZL1 (couldn't believe this) and the interior was worlds and worlds better then my ZL1.
I have had 9 mustangs, including 2 cobra terminators and a Shelby GT500, also 2 ZL1's and a 2013 1/LE cam'd and supercharged. This is my favorite car to date. Dodge did a fantastic job of bringing back that 70's muscle car feel with all the modern day technologies.
Upon picking this car up and getting her home I soon learned about all the different awesome features of this car. Sport mode is amazing and the performance pages and U-connect are the bomb. I just learned of the aftermarket Tazer being sold and how it opens up SRT performance pages, Line locks, and has a shift light upon some other cool features. This will be my next mod for sure.
I currently have added a R2C intake already and have on order my billet technologies catch can in custom painted white with powder coated fittings and braided lines with color matched ends. Can't wait till this comes in finally, the lead time on these are very long.
In summary I really love this car and driving it is so involved and thrilling. Man I'm glad I made the switch to mopar. Next up...in a couple years will probably be the HellCat. Enjoy the pictures and I'm glad to of joined this forum.
Also the proud owner of a 2015 Ram Big Horn with the 5.7. An awesome truck
