So for the past few months my cars had a very unusual issue. It tends to come up mostly on the highway, but has shown up in city driving to some degree. For starters this only happens when the car is in non-MDS mode (using AutoStick or disabling MDS through my DiabloSport). When I'm driving there is an apparent dead spot between ROUGHLY 1500 RPMS to close to 2500RPMS. By dead spot I mean that I can have my foot on the gas pedal cruising at 65 and if I let go for a few seconds and let it roll, it seems to disengage itself. If I press the gas it doesn't react for another 2-3 seconds and will "hook" abruptly. I have to ease into the gas and let it slowly catch on to avoid that lurch forward. The exhaust note also changes substantially from the moment I let go of the gas pedal and let it cruise all the way to ~1500 RPMS where it acts normal again. No CEL codes, no drivability issues (aside from that) and again, with MDS engaged that issue is not there.
Stumped would be an understatement.
