I was reading comments on this form about side gapping spark plugs after searching for information on the matter. Well I just finished modifying my plugs in my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and the truck with out doubt the truck does respond quicker not only from a dead stop but from about 30 mph as well. I used the same plugs that were installed in my truck a couple of months ago so it's not a fresh set. As for gas mileage I'll have to get back on that after a tank or 2 but for now I'm sold. I have the stock plugs because Dodge started in 2009 using these plugs made just for the Hemi. My truck did not like Platinum or Iridium plugs what so ever. On the other hand my 2006 Charger R/T runs great on the Bosch Iridium plugs. As for gapping I'll get the link from You Tube of a guy that tested the exhaust of his lawn mower for different gas content at different gaps and the results were an eye opener. As per the test equipment the larger the gap more of the fuel was indeed burned. This is my first post on any forum but I've read and gotten great information in the past from the members of this site. Been a Mopar fan all my life with my first car being a 1974 Plymouth Duster sport with a 360 ci engine. Boy I really miss that car. Well I have tools to clean and pick up.
