I had one on my GTO. You basically snip the temperature reading wire thermistor off the IAT sensor, the part that actually sticks out into the air flow, and solder on a much faster reacting Omega thermistor in its place.
The result is an IAT sensor which is far more responsive to changing IAT, which in turn pulls less timing when it's hot out, as it registers the cooler moving air faster once you are moving.
