Just when you think these silly trans codes go away...POW! Another thread!! Here's the skinny:

Went to a local dyno on Vets Day. I put the car in dyno mode and I tell the guy, dont touch anything, and well, he hit the trac control button about 3 or 4 times before I caught him. I explained, again, about the dyno mode and that this was NOT a Mustang. Finished up the dyno, left with some friends for breakfast. Drive to a friends house and the car kept going into partial limp mode. Frustrating as hell. Limped her home and did the following:

1. Checked fluid level: dead nuts on 65 mm.
2. Dropped the B&M pan, checked for debris: NONE. Not even on the magnet.
3. Pulled the VB and took the speed plate off.
4. Cleaned the FCK out of it, and the plate, replaced the bushing plug with a brand new one. No debris or shavings on the speed sensor pin.
5. Added the Transgo shift kit for ****s and giggles.
6. Installed clean VB and sealed up with new filter and fluid.
7. Limped to the dealer to reset the TCM codes.
8. Still doing the same ****. Short shifting to 2nd, cannot WOT at all. Goes in and out of limp mode. Still showing P0730.
9. Replacing TCM today with an extra and new rear wheel speed sensors.

Now, what I have:

HRH 426- 4.2LC KB- SHR War Viking- Paramount drive shaft. There was some trans fluid weepage on the bushing connector. Hopefully the new TCM will either fix the issue or at least knock that off the list. I was really amazed that there wasn't any shavings in the pan.

I will update when or if I fix this. Maybe time for a TH400. Or 4L80E. Lol.

Ron
